A four piece folk ensemble based in Northumberland and Cumbria, the imaginatively named 'Norcumbrians’ enjoy playing folk and traditional music from throughout the British Isles and beyond.  The band have played at various folk clubs and festivals, including Whitby Folk Week at which they won the inaugural Whitby Young Folk Award in 2014.

Tristan is singing wherever possible whilst in a gap year before he goes to read Music at Cambridge; Michael is finishing his A levels at Chetham’s where he studies piano and piano accordion; James is on his first year of the Folk Music Degree at Newcastle University; and having attained her DipABRSM, Hannah teaches the violin in Morpeth.

After a great first year together the group are looking forward to whatever awaits them in 2015.
